Based on a photograph from a horse magazine I picked up. This took months of work and it took me forever to figure out what to do for a background. Done with mechanical pencil, charcoal pencil, and erasers.

:wow: I am amazed this hasn't had more recognition, it's absolutley beautiful. The tones and body structure has been done so well and the moody yet elegant feel to this is just really touching. I love it!

Thanks! The darkness of it was a new thing I tried. Most of my works are lighter . . . Anyway, I'm glad you like it.

Wow, beautful. The face looks a little off to me but the shading and muscle deffinition is outstanding, great work.

Thank you! I had a hard time with those front legs. Odd angels and too many shadows blending. I wondered about the background too . . . I'm glad you like it, though! And I appreciate the fave!
