Sunny Keema

This is a portrait of Keema, a sheltie. Isn't she cute? I started this before I took on cheap commissions, and kinda picked it back up while figuring out *Dark-Memory's pieces. I wasn't sure it would turn out at first, but every time I walked in the door and saw it, I liked it more. This piece was done as a free commission for a dog groomer. She keeps the original, wherever she wants, and displays a print with my business cards in her salon. Hopefully, it works out for me.

I tried something kinda different with the background, to make it go quicker. What do you think? Suggestions to improve? Overall, I'm pretty happy with it. Although, I am coming to the conclusion that watercolor anything doesn't scan so well. It does look a lot better in real life. The grass under tail doesn't blend so much, and the sky is just smoother overall.
