Artist's Comments

He surveys his vast kingdom. Does he ponder it's grand beauty, or does he just search for food?

Umm . . . yeah. I figured I ought to start doing more dragons anyhow. I used to draw them all the time. So, I was supposed to be working on a dog portrait and needed a break, then I liked the sketch so much I just had to finish it. I glanced at a couple photos to make certain my background was believable, but didn't actually reference anything. I haven't played much with using color to portray vast distances, so let me know what you think and what I can fix!

Anyways, done with my Prismas and blended super-smooth. Hope you enjoy!

You can never get the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow, because a rainbow is an infinite loophole. It seems so close yet so far, but knowing that you can never get it, why bother?

Thank you! I am happy the background look believable. That's what I wanted! And I always envisioned dragons as lean and limber creatures. Swift and deadly too . . . :D

I've never been outside my province. Or as you guys down south call 'em, STATE. I don't know why, but that sounds to formal and too uncanadian to me.

Yeah, I could see it being too formal. But, you're used to what you grow up with! A province just sounds weird to me . . . But I'm not Canadian! :D

lol Know what I hate? When there's those stupid ignorant people say their countries better than everyone else's. I don't say Canada's better. I just say we're less worse. LOL! Sorry, just a line from a song by the arrogant worms. But seriously, Canada's just as bad. I mean, what's Stephen Harper doing under George W.'s desk?

 That scene is very awesome indeed.
The background is marvelous, as is the dragon and it's anatomy.
