Desert Rose by Aryenne Desert Rose by Aryenne
Cliched name, I know, but it works here. Anyways, been working on this for the last six or seven weeks now, mostly on Wednesdays or Sundays. School and dating sure cuts out a lot of drawing time and, as I've recently found, so does a brand-new PS3.

I sketched this a little while back (you can download a .png lineart file from my site, link on that page). I debated over colors, but decided on a palomino because it's been awhile. Desert background was to broaden my horizons a bit and I tried to do simple but elegant clouds in the sky. Probably lots wrong, but I'm pretty happy with how it came out. Very busy, but it's mostly good. Except my laptop is in getting fixed and I'm working on my old and sluggish desktop. At least internet was easy to get working on it!

And thank you! :D

This year has seen a LOT of computer problems for people by the sounds of it...must be something in the air.

Hope it stays that way :aww:

Went with the blue-sky huh? I have to say, I was kinda hoping you'd change your mind and take a stab at a lighting storm. But it turned out very well - so s'all good. :)

Hey we need to have a Dr. Who Party - since I might not be attending the single's ward anymore. I'm bailing for the Home ward. Just easier I'm afraid.

I'll have to do a lightning sky on something else then. I've been meaning to try it again anyhow. And I'm happy you like it. :aww:

We do, I just never know when. Maybe it can be a double-date thing, if you're still seeing your guy. Brent, right? You already know Don is a huge Dr. Who fan! And I'll miss you, but if it's easier, than it's best. If you drop by (in case you didn't hear), it's at one now instead of two. They like to keep changing things. Hopefully I graduate from the single's ward in the not-too-distant future . . .

I love it how you include a list of all the colours you used. Makes me appreciate it all the more knowing you blended all those shades! :D

Thank you! I don't get lots of comments about that. It always amazed how each color can make such a dramatic difference in a piece I'm working on. And with Prismas, blending is pretty easy. ;)
